Dear Citydogs4Streetdogs friends, our organization is taking care about the stray dogs far beyond the borders of our shelter in Buftea. Our veterinarian couple Alice and Gabriel, are taking care of injured animals they find on the streets and are helping wherever they are needed. Their selfless work pays off. Many animals in and around our shelter could already be rescued. This year we have a big neutering campaign launched to spay as many dogs as possible on the filmstudio ground. Every year are many unwanted puppies born. To change this situation, the German medical student Anika helps us to capture and spay the dogs on the large filmstudio ground. Anika will be helping us for 5 weeks and works during this time intensively towards this project. This neutering campaign costs money. We kindly ask you to help us in this very sustainable action. To spay a male dog costs CHF 24.00 and a female dog CHF 39.00. Donations can be made e.g. via SMS (send a SMS to the number 488 + “Strassenhund” + the required amount, e.g. “Strassenhund5” for a donation of CHF 5.00 / SMS donations possible only for Swiss mobile providers / for SMS donation, please ask by email for a thank-you-letter). Please help us to control the number of dogs on the filmstudio ground! With a donation of CHF 39, or CHF 24 you rescue lives and help actively to fight against the misery of the stray dogs! To make the bellies of our dogs happy, our front team feeds them 1.5 tons of food per month. Our vets have negotiated a great deal with a supermarket chain, so we get fresh meat delivered regularly. To be able to store the meat our volunteers and Dr. Gabriel had to buy a second freezer. The volunteers already donated CHF 100.- towards the freezer, so we are looking for another CHF 195.-. A big thank you to Sarina and Laura for their donation. Thank you all for supporting us and our dogs will be grateful to have meat on their plates regularly. SMS Donation: Send an SMS to 488 Strassenhund 5 for example that means you are donating CHF 5. You can choose the amount of CHF 1-100.-. This option is only open for Swiss mobile providers. If you wish a donation thank you letter for the taxes, please send us an e-mail with your address and mobile number to anja@citydogs4streetdogs.com bank account for donations: UBS AG 8098 Zürich PC 80-2-2 IBAN: CH350022522510248101F BIC: UBSWCHZH80A Verein Citydogs4Streetdogs Vordere Dorfstrasse 3 8803 Rüschlikon

A report issued by a veterinarian surgeon comes to the conclusion that bites on the body of Ionut Anghel could have been caused by fighting dogs. The bites of stray dogs would be very different. According to România TV the expert states that the bites on Ionuts body are specific for dogs trained for fights. This theory is supported by the fact that the brother of Ionut was not attacked by dogs. Stray dogs, so the expert, would attack everybody perceived as enemy while a fighting dog is not chasing others when focused on one victim. Moreover the hypothesis is supported by the fact that several witnesses confirm that fighting dogs have been held in the region where Ionut died.
